Kelvin retired from his role as Director of KB Contractors in 2021. He founded the business with Brent in 1985 and for over 35 years, Kelvin and Brent were at the forefront of KB Contractors and continue to co-own the business. In the 80s, Kelvin identified a gap in the market when selling thrust boring machines.
He shoulder tapped Brent, with the pair founding KB Contractors after crossing paths at Motocross. From there, the business has certainly grown and diversified its offering, keeping up with the changes in trenchless technology and diversifying into drainage and subdivisions throughout Otago and Southland.
Kelvin was instrumental in developing the business to where it is today, with over 50 qualified personnel, KB Contractors has built up great working relationships with clients, along with City and Regional Councils, with a reputation for being a one-stop-shop and possessing the ability to complete all types of projects.
You’ll find Kelvin spending happy days in retirement out on the water, fishing.
