Terramark are a land related consultancy, providing surveying, engineering and resource management services to a wide range of clients across Dunedin and South Otago.
We have worked with KB Contractors for the past five years on the Highland Park subdivision in Mosgiel. From the outset, the Developer made it clear he expected nothing short of a high standard of workmanship and quality and KB Contractors have consistently delivered this while taking a lot of pride in their work.
The flat nature of the site, and the consequential flat design gradients of the majority of the foul and storm water network, provide a real challenge for laying pipes accurately, but KB Contractors have routinely met the accuracy requirements. They have demonstrated a methodical and careful approach to ensure that all pipe work complies with the contract plans and specification.
As principal contractor, KB Contractors have demonstrated excellent organisational skills on site. The nature of this development has required a high level of programme coordination with their roading sub-contractor, SouthRoads Ltd, and utility authorities, Chorus and Aurora, in order to improve construction efficiencies and keep to programme.
Weather conditions have also provided logistical challenges at times, but through innovation, adaption, and persistence, KB Contractors have been able to deliver completed stages on time, and within budget. As an experienced, skilled, innovative, no fuss, and most importantly, a ‘get-the-job-done’ company, KB Contractors have been a pleasure to deal with.

Gemco have been using KB Contractors for the last two years for all of our civil, drilling and site works on the Grange Life Care Village. This project is a Life Care Village that will in the end have 180 Villas along with apartments and Care Facilities.

KB Contractors undertake specialist water drilling which has helped with the DCC 3 waters projects. We have a strong history of working with KB Contractors on previous projects, as they bring a technical background with water and specifically drilling to projects.
They take ownership of the water component of these projects. We simply cannot complete all the work without their expertise, and they’re completed faster due to working collaboratively.
